Laminate Worktop Choices

All the Formica laminate worktops that we offer through are site are available in a choice of lengths, depths and widths. The choice of laminate worktop designs that we are able to offer includes designs that mimic the look of natural materials such as granite, wood, metal and stone with Bushboard and Axiom also Riverwash texture finish.

Laminate Worktop Construction

Formica covered Laminate Worktops vary in their construction, the typical construction process involves a core consisting of high density particle board. The Formica laminate worktop surface is bonded to this core within a heated press using resin adhesives. The underside of the worktop is coated with a resin impregnated moisture barrier and then further sealed against moisture ingress on the leading edge.

High pressure laminate worktops manufactured to exceed the European standards for impact, abrasion and staining (BS/EN438)

Underside and rear protection, all the Prima worktops are encased in specially impreganted papers.
